The school year has been underway for just over one month now! Students and staff at Superstition Springs Elementary have been busy learning, growing, and building community. From the first-ever back-to-school GLOW dance to Superhero Day, the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year is off to a great start! Here's a breakdown of everything that's happened so far.
The first month was filled with opportunities to connect with the community. The year kicked off with the first-ever back-to-school GLOW dance, a huge success that brought the community together for an evening of fun. A special thank you goes out to the PTSO and Mr. Mark for all their hard work! The school held its first Picture Day, as well as its first PTSO meeting and Student Council meeting in early August.
Learning is in full swing across campus. Students have done an incredible job settling into new classroom routines, a key part of ensuring a productive school year. Outside of the classroom, students also had a chance to get involved in new opportunities, with the first meeting for the STEAM Club taking place on August 21st. The club will give students a chance to explore a variety of science, technology, engineering, art, and math concepts.
Students and staff are also showing off their school spirit. The school celebrated Superhero Day on August 15th, with lots of students and staff dressing up in their favorite hero gear. The PTSO also kicked off its Charleston Wrap fundraiser on August 11th and organized the Kona Ice Treat Sale at lunch on August 15th to support the school.
