About Me

Welcome! My name is Amy Hancock, and this is my fifth year teaching preschool in GPS. I have been with Gilbert Public Schools for a total of 17 years, working primarily with students that have special needs. Through Northern Arizona University I have a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Education degree. I have my learning disability, reading specialist, and early childhood endorsements. I love what I do, and couldn't imagine doing anything else! This will be my 23rd year teaching, but who's counting?! Outside of school, my husband and I have two wonderful children, plus a chow mix dog, Miss Mo. We own a pool service and repair business. We also pop kettle corn for various festivals/events with our family around the valley. We enjoy spending time together, going to the movies, traveling, and camping in the outdoors. We are all Arizona natives, and not everyone can say that. If you should any questions about me, please do not hesitate to contact or email me. Thank you!
